Abstract
481,945. Folding seats and beds. GODDARD, G. W., and ROGERS, J. I. Sept. 19, 1936, No. 25523. [Class 52 (ii)] In a folding camp-bed or seat in which the main frame or seat comprises foldable sections 1, 2, the end part of the bed or the back of the seat comprises two folding sections 21, 22 which fold down upon the main frame or seat and then fold together with the sections of the latter. The legs 9, 10 fold under the sections 1, 2. The hinges 3 between the sections 1, 2 permit upward flexure only, and may comprise metal side plates to which the side members of the frame are pivoted. The legs are pivoted on the outside of the frame members, and the back or end sections fold inside the main frame.
