Abstract
286,360. Douche, W. Dec. 2, 1926. Springs, arrangement of.-The axles of a baby carriage are pivotally connected to each other, and means are provided whereby unequal substantially vertical pressures applied to the ends of the handle cause the ends of the axles to approach towards or recede from one another. The axles a are connected together by two V- shaped members b pivoted together at b<1> and each secured at a<1> to one of the axles. The steering movement of the axles is obtained by the use of a spring suspension comprising, for each axle, two inclined coil springs c one at each end of the axle, the lower ends of the springs being connected to the axle and the upper ends to downwardly depending and inclined ends of a transverse rod d mounted to rotation brackets e on the body f. For heavy bodies, an additional spring may be arranged between the body and the centre of the axle.
