Abstract

Springs, arrangement of and mounting bodies on; frame construction.-In a baby carriage having an underframe comprising upper and lower pairs of corresponding frame members pivoted together, the said members e, f are formed of flat strip metal twisted between the axles to provide vertically flat middle parts for pivotal connection at g and horizontally flat end-portions for attachment to the axles o, c and body d. Compression springs, such as coil springs h, i, are interposed between the members on each side of the pivot g. The lower members f are rigid and rigidly connected to the axles, and their central portions are upwardly bowed to raise the pivots g. The ends of the upper members e are curved to form bowed resilient' portions for attachment to the body. Diagonal stays j connect the axles together. According to the Provisional Specification, light tension springs may be arranged between the frame members in conjunction with the compression springs.
