Abstract

191,860. Hallas, H. W. Oct. 26, 1921. Springs, arrangement of.-In a perambulator having the. body supported by straps from a spring frame the main suspension springs are secured to or mounted on longitudinal members which constitute auxiliary springs, and are so arranged that resilient or elastic devices may be interposed between the main and auxiliary springs. The suspension springs B, Fig. 1, are mounted on a pair of longitudinal spring members C, D separated from each other bv a block E. The member D is secured to the axles G, and four spiral springs F are interposed between 'the members C, D. The axles are connected by diagonal stays, and the springs B on each side of the perambulator are connected by a central transverse stay. In a modification, the member C and two of the springs F are omitted. In the further modification shown in Fig. 5, two auxiliary spring members K are connected to the spring B, and one or more springs F, L are interposed between each member K and the spring B.
