400,571. Road-vehicle suspensions. BOUZIN, O., 12, Rue Wattecamp, Antoing, Belgium. Jan. 18, 1932, No. 1460. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Jan. 23, 1932. [Class 108 (ii).] Springs supporting the body or main frame of a vehicle are connected at or towards the middle of longitudinal levers or frames connecting the two axles. In the construction shown in Fig. 1 the main frame 1 is supported on each side of the vehicle by a semi-elliptic spring 7, the middle of which is secured to a cross-bar 8 connected to longitudinal reach bars 5 connecting the axles 3, 4. In a modification shown in Fig. 3, four quarter elliptic springs 9 are arranged diagonally. In the construction, shown in Fig. 4, quarter elliptic springs 11 are fixed across bars arranged near the centre of the longitudinal reach bars 5, and in the construction shown in Fig. 5 two unsymmetrical semi-elliptic springs 13 are arranged on each side. In a further modification the springs 13 are divided so as to form two quarter elliptic springs.
