506,975. Vehicle spring-suspensions. AUTO UNION AKT.-GES. July 28, 1938, No. 22465. Convention date, July 28, 1937. [Classes 108 (ii) and 108 (iii)] A vehicle suspension of the kind in which a pair of wheels or an axle is supported by links which are pivoted on the vehicle frame and resiliently mounted by means of rubber cushions, the cushions being associated with each link in pairs and the cushions of each pair arranged on opposite sides of the link pivot, one having its upper and lower faces supported respectively on the link and frame and the other, on the frame and link respectively, is characterized in that all the cushions are arranged on the same side of the link and one cushion of each pair acts directly on the link and the other, indirectly In the embodiment shown, the rear wheel 2 is supported by a link 3 pivoted at 4 on a transverse frame member 5 and hingedly connected at 14, 16 to rubber cushions 6, 7. The supporting plates 8, 11 of the cushion are secured to a reinforcing frame member 18 and to the link 3 respectively, and the plates 9, 12 of the cushion 7 to the frame and to a bolt 15 passing through the cushion and pivoted at 16 to the link.
