Laminar springs. - In a vehicle suspension comprising a laminar spring adapted to make progressive contact some of the shorter laminae of an ordinary spring 3 are removed and replaced by the support 4, the strength of the spring being such that under maximum load corresponding parts of the support and shortest lamina do not make complete contact at their ends. The support may be rigid or comprise resilient plates less sensitive than the spring, and its surface may be provided with longitudinal or other grooves. The spring may be secured to the vehicle frame which in this case constitutes the support. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), describes also the shortest lamina of the spring, under minimum load, as' being still in contact with the support outside the fixing. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
