Laminar springs.-A semi-elliptic vehicle suspension spring formed of a plurality of parts successively and automatically coming into action as the load increases comprises two parts 1, 2, Fig. 1, connected together by a bolt 3 and each consisting of leaves always in contact with one another, the part 1 being connected by eyes 4 to the chassis, and the ends of the part 2 carrying stirrups 6 with pins 9 passing under the part 1, the stirrups also carrying shock-absorbing helical springs 8 upon which the ends of the part 1 rest and which prevent synchronous vibration. The part 2 acts only after the part 1 bears on the pins 9. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a modification in which the play between the parts is avoided by housing them in different arcs, the initial curve of the part 2, Fig. 4 (Cancelled), being that of the part 1 under load, and the parts being connected by a central bolt and end stirrups. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
