Working-fluid supply. - An explosion chamber for gas turbines having an inlet valve C and a nozzle shut-off valve D is shaped like a long cylinder having its cross-section F related to the narrowest nozzle cross-section Fm in the ratio of the velocity of sound to the combustion speed, ignition taking place at a point B near the nozzle valve. The object of the invention is to obtain a more uniform jet velocity together with a lower maximum explosion pressure.
