Abstract

215,603. MacKirdy, W. June 5, 1923. Working fluid supply.- Cooling air is supplied through openings 12 at a contracted outlet 8 from a combustion chamber 7 and the mixed air and combustion products pass to a duct 9 which expands for a short distance and thereafter tapers to to a nozzle 10 delivering towards a turbine wheel 15. The duct 9 may be covered with heat insulating material. The Specification describes proportions for the various parts.
