Abstract
294,978. Holzwarth, H. Aug. 3, 1927, [Convention date]. Generating combustion products under pressure. -In an explosion turbine in which coal dust is used as fuel, ignition is facilitated by passing gas into the explosion chamber with the coal dust. The gas may consist of vapourized liquid fuel from a carburettor. Admission of coal dust from the hopper t and of gas and air from the pipe l to the explosion chamber v is controlled by a fluid operated valve b. Charging air is supplied to a mixing valve n at p, and igniting gas at o. A valve x is provided to control the supply of scavenging air.
