Abstract

416,030. Gas turbines. COUZINET, R. A. A., 189, Boulevard Bineau, Neuilly-sur- Seine, France. March 3, 1933, No. 6526. Convention date, March 4, 1932. [Class 110 (iii).] In a gas turbine, the combustion chamber 1 is supplied with compressed air by a pipe 7<a> and with fuel by a pipe 6<a>. The products pass through a nozzle 1<a> and a neck 2<a> to a chamber 2 where they expand adiabatically and are mixed with compressed air from a chamber 4 before passing through a nozzle 2<b> to the turbine 5. In a modification, the fuel is injected through side tubes either continuously or periodically, air and fuel pumps are provided.
