Abstract

9290. Schellenbach, W. June 24. Turrets for lathes, planing and shaping machines, and like machine tools are locked and clamped by a clutch member sliding axially on the centre bolt of the turret. The turret is secured by a centre bolt 7 and nut 9 in aT-slot. The column 5 has recesses 23 to engage a spring and ball detent for indexing. The turret 10 has the tools arranged tangentially and is formed with clutch teeth 15 engaging corresponding teeth on a member 16 splined to the column and reciprocated axially by a handle 21 and screwed sleeve 20.
