The spindle is carried in a saddle and secured by a nut, and has keyed to it, within the saddle, a ratchet-wheel h which is adjusted and locked by one of two screws n to hold the cutting-edge of the tool in the correct position. Additional holes are provided to take the screws when the tool is used at the other side of the work.
