Abstract

121,696. Beardmore & Co., W., and Broadbent, T. June 8, 1918. Turning; tools.-A holder, for a formtool which may be made in two or more parts, comprises a grooved at A<1> for the cross - slide and grooved at A for the tool. The bottom of the groove is at an angle greater than a tangent to the work, while it may also be inclined laterally as shown in Fig. 3. The tool is located by a stop C carried by a bar C' secured by screws to the front of the holder, and is held against one wall and the bottom of the groove by screws or the like D' in the opposite wall. The tool is shown in Fig. 2 as made in two parts E, E'.
