Abstract

138,141. Godfrey, A. Dec. 3, 1918. Tools; tool-holders. -A lathe or like tool has a double cutting- edge formed by inclining the top surface inwardly and downwardly from its lateral edges to the centre, and giving a V-shape with suitable rake to its cutting-end. The angle of the V is usually about 120 degrees. The tool is held in a slotted holder 2, one face of the slot having a V or rounded projection to engage the V in the tool, a screw 3 securing the tool.
