Abstract

1326. Reading, J. Jan. 18. Casings, centrifugal-fan. The casing 1 is mounted so that the position of the discharge mouth is variable, by providing the side frames 2 of the casing with flanges 2<@> which engage with annular rings 8<y> formed on the pedestals 8. The flanges 2<@> are secured after adjustment by set-screws 9. The frame 2 opposite the inlet 6 carries the bearing 3 for the shaft 4. The flanges may be formed on the pedestals, and the rings on the side frames.
