Abstract

220,454. Purden, W. Aug. 4, 1923. Casings.-A fan casing k is supported by two pedestals a, h shaped at their upper ends to form circular flanges to correspond with the flanges on the fan casing. The flanges are provided with segmental slots j through which pass bolts l to secure the casing k in any adjusted position. One pedestal h carries an inlet eye i and the other a carries a bearing b for the fan. The pedestals may be fitted to either side of the fan casings The flanges are packed by asbestos rings. Specifications 10832/90, [Class 102, Pumps &c.] ; 1326/11 and 23014/11 are referred to.
