Current motors; casing.-A water turbine 6 for electric generating stations is carried by a shaft 8 in a casing formed by a conduit 1 and a detachable hemispherical cover 5. Deflectors 9 on the shaft 8 protect the bearings 7 to some extent from the water. A number of such turbines may be disposed in series along the conduit 1.
