Abstract

224,466. Mackley, E. N. May 9, 1924. Casings.-A multi-stage pump with units a has hollow end covers b, c provided respectively with the suction orifice e and the discharge orifice f. These covers are supported by carrier rings g integral with the fixed supports h for the bearings p. The covers with the suction and discharge orifices may be rotatably adjusted on the rings g and then secured to them by studs k. In a modification the suction inlet is concentric with the shaft while the discharge orifice is adjustably mounted as shown in Fig. 1.
