Abstract
655,885. Centrifugal pumps. MERCIER, R. M. March 17, 1948, Nos. 8021 and 8022. Convention dates, March 17, 1947, and Dec. 17, 1947. [Class 110(i)] [Also in Group II] A foam disintegrator comprises pumps 47, 49 in series. The pump 47 is surrounded by foam, and the pump 49 has an inlet dipping into liquid below the foam. The inlet comprises a tubular extension 51 rotating with the pumps and fitted with a check-valve 52. Liquid raised by the pump 49 combines with liquid separated from the foam by the pump 47 and is thrown out in a radially extending sheet by the pump 47.
