Abstract

640,957. Reciprocating pumps. WILTON ROW EXTENSIONS, Ltd., Nov. 28, 1947. No. 31533. [Class 102(i)] A pump casing 1 is fitted with caps 2 into which are screwed cylinders 3 each having an inlet 7 and a spring-loaded outlet valve 9 leading to an individual outlet. The pistons 5 are pressed by springs 6 against an axially-acting cam 13 carried by a shaft 12 journalled in the caps 2. The cam 13 may be driven by a worm 14 or by the shaft 12 which would then extend through either or both caps. The casing has an inlet 11 and is maintained full of liquid. In a modification, the casing has one cap and the pistons act on one side of the cam.
