Abstract

188,791. Price, A. H. Aug. 18, 1921. Spray carburettors.-A suction-actuated extraair valve k is rigidly connected to a needle fuelvalve e so that with increase of suction, more air and less fuel are admitted to the carburettor. The relative setting of the valves may be adjusted by rotating the needle valve which may be connected to the valve k by a screw thread f as shown. A portion q of the needle valve stem may consist of a closely wound helical spring so as to be flexible. A by-pass i may be provided for priming the carburettor on starting.
