Abstract

Spray carburettors.-Air is admitted to the mixing - chamber through spaces between a series of coaxial nozzles b surrounding the fuel-nozzle i and controlled by a throttle sleeve c sliding over the carburettor casing a. The sleeve is actuated through a Bowden wire or the like attached to a lever d which is connected to a lever e pivoted on the sleeve. The outer end of the lever e is adapted, in the lower or closing positions of the throttle sleeve, to engage a spring- pressed plunger g to reduce or cut off the fuel supply. The sleeve may admit air when the fuel valve is closed. The nozzle i may be adjusted by sliding the float-chamber arm k in the slot l.
