Abstract

434,280. Spray carburetters. ROGERS, W. R., and ROGERS, H. J., 20, Noble Street, Wem, Shropshire. March 27, 1934, No. 9491. [Class 7 (iii)] In a carburetter in which an auxiliary petrol inlet 3 and air inlet 5a are controlled by a single auxiliary valve 1, movement of which uncovers a mixture conduit 6, an additional valve 9 is mounted on the valve 1 and closes the air inlet 5a on further movement of the valve 1 for starting the engine. The valve 9 is mounted on a pin 8 passed through the auxiliary valve 1 and clamped therein by the engagement of a screwed nipple 12, to which a control wire 11 is attached, with the head 13 of the pin.
