Spray carburettors.- Compressed air from a turbo-blower e passes through a pipe d to a nozzle i forming with a nozzle l an injector a which draws combustible mixture from a carburettor band forces it into the engine cylinder g. The working is regulated by a throttle valve h in the pipe d. At low output the valve is closed, the suction through the carburettor being then normal. The injector may be joined directly to the outlet of the carburettor and be formed integrally therewith; it may also be connected to the suction pipe or may replace such pipe entirely. Atmospheric air is drawn through the carburettor in the usual manner.
