Abstract
448,741. Spray carburetters. LUNDQUIST, G. F., 126, Folkungagatan, Stockholm. July 29, 1935, No. 21478. Convention date, July 31, 1934. [Class 7 (iii)] In a carburetter comprising a suction conduit giving an air flow of substantially constant speed during the suction stroke and con trolled by a valve movable at right angles to the air flow, and a fuel nozzle adapted to supply at full throttle fuel to produce a fuel/ air ratio suitable for the greatest effect, the fuel nozzle is located so far in advance of the throttle valve that at less than half throttle the amount of fuel induced by the air flow will produce a fuel/air ratio between the greatest thermal efficiency and the greatest effect. The nozzle 3 opens into the air conduit 1 in advance of the throttle 2 by a distance a within the zone in which the air stream changes its direction to pass the valve 2 and not more than the width of the suction conduit, the distance shown being half that of the conduit.
