Abstract

Nov. 13, 1919, Spray carburettors.-Rich mixture formed in a small chamber f is admitted to the main air supply through a stepped groove a formed in the sliding throttle, the shape of the groove being determined so as to control the supply of the rich mixture to correspond with the throttle opening. The fuel is also independently controllable by means of the needle i. The brass nozzle g is not screwed into the carburettor body, but is held up by a spring m bearing on the plug n a leather washer being placed on the flange formed on the nozzle. A groove may be formed along the bottom and one side of the throttle to form a by-pass for starting. Specification 160,215 is referred to.
