Abstract

178,185. Gillespie, W. R. Jan. 7, 1921. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-In a two-stroke engine having crank-case compression, transfer takes place through the automatic valve 6, and during the compression stroke, fuel is injected by the nozzle 7, axially along the cylindrical combustion and vaporizing chamber 4, toward the igniter 8. The non-return valve 6 may be so arranged that it is not in the direct path of the fuel, and the spring is outside the crank-case.
