Abstract

167,759. Declaye, J. Aug. 10, 1920, [Convention date]. Firing-mechanism.-Relates to automatic rifles having a sear-actuating link, pivoted to the trigger, acting on the edge of a step on the sear and adapted to be disengaged from the step by a trip lever actuated by the recoil of the breech-block. According to the invention, the trip lever is cranked and is operated by a notch in the breechblock. In the construction shown, the searactuating link 1, pivoted at 11 to the trigger 2, has a lateral projection at the top engaging a step 12 on the sear 3. The link is disengaged from this step, when the breech-block 5 recoils, by a bell-crank lever 6, the top end of which enters a notch 8 in the breech-block when the breech is closed, while the bottom end has a side arm 18 engaging the bottom end of the link 1.
