144,286. Oesterreichische Waffenfabriks-Ges. May 17, 1918, [Convention date]. Breech actions, sliding breech-block, and sliding barrel and breech-block.-Consists in firing mechanism for automatic guns, wherein a bar pivoted to the trigger is adapted to cock the hammer for the first shot and fire by a slip-lock action, and operates a sear-actuating lever on the hammer for normal firing. The bar has a projection sliding in a guideway in the frame, the guideway terminating in a recess into which the projection enters at the end of the trigger pull to allow the bar to slip off the hammer. In the construction shown, the bar i, pivoted by a link p to the trigger o, engages a bent 1 in the hammer d. When the trigger is pulled, the bar i first cocks the hammer and then, when a projection i enters a recess l in the frame, slips out of bent. When the hammer is cocked automatically, it is held by a sear g engaging a bent 2, Fig. 3, from which it is released by a lever n pivoted to the hammer and actuated by the bar i.
