Abstract

155,444. Mullins, W. J. Nov. 24, 1919. Vessels, cleaning.-A self-acting steam jet device for cleansing milk churns &c. comprises a spring-supported valve b disposed in a casing a and carried by a hollow spindle d with a nozzle f at its upper end. Arms h fixed to the spindle guide a plate i mounted on runners and carrying a nipple j. The milk churn to be cleansed is placed over the device with the nipple j in the aperture thereof, the weight of the cask being then borne by the arms h, thus depressing the valve and allowing the steam to enter by the holes e to the spindle and nozzle.
