Abstract

132,865. Edwards, J. T. Sept. 24, 1918. Bottles, jars, and like vessels, washing.-Apparatus for cleaning test-tubes, bottles, &c. comprises a water - driven vane - wheel b mounted on a vertical hollow spindle c surrounded by a closed casing a. The exhaust from the vane-wheel collects in the casing and passes through holes h into the interior of the spindle, finally escaping through slots j at the lower end of the brush. In operation, the test-tube or bottle is pushed upwards over the brush inside the telescopic splash guard i, the latter also being pushed upwards to such an extent that the vessel may be retained in the hand during the cleaning operation. The vertical spindle is mounted on ball bearings d. Specification 132,866, [Class 19, Brushing &c.], is referred to.
