Abstract
<PICT:0589429/III/1> An apparatus for use in garages to clean articles, particularly oily or greasy metal parts, by spraying them with paraffin or other liquid, comprises a main tank into which the liquid drains from the articles being cleaned, a subsidiary tank supplied with liquid from the main tank by way of a normally open valve, a compressed air supply connected to the main tank so that when the tank is subjected to air pressure the valve closes, and means for directing the compressed air so that it may either be passed to the subsidiary tank to eject liquid therefrom to the spray or be passed directly to the spray nozzle. In Fig. 1, articles to be cleaned are placed on perforated grid 2 and are sprayed with liquid with the aid of nozzle 15. Liquid draining from the articles being cleaned is collected in the main tank 1 and passes from the main tank, through the perforated top of valve 4, into the subsidiary tank 3. Pipe 6 is connected to a compressed air supply and, by passing air down line 10, liquid is forced through line 13 to the spray nozzle. Alternatively air is passed directly to the spray nozzle.
