Plug cocks; closure members. - Relates to a petrol or other supply valve of the permutation type, intended to prevent a supply of liquid from being illicitly obtained, comprising two or more ported valve members sliding relatively to each other and to ports in a stationary member, the operating handles or disks being provided with index fingers or other indications. The handles or disks are adjustable on the valve member so that the permutation setting can be varied as desired. Figs. 1 and 2 show a plug-cock arrangement in which the handles 16, 17 are mounted by means of hexagonal formations on the plugs 1, 2 with the indicating-fingers 18 so disposed, as regards one of the sides of the hexagon, that six different positions can be obtained by rotational adjustment, and six others similarly by reversal of the disks on the plugs. These twelve positions enable the setting to be remembered as a particular time of the day, as, for example, five o'clock in Fig. 2. With the hexagonal formation, the open position may be any one of one hundred and forty-four possible settings. Any polygonal formation may, however, be used to obtain a different number of possible settings. The top disk is provided with holes 20 or other indications to assist in obtaining the correct setting. The disks may be provided with letters or numerals, or may be replaced by the normal type of handle.
