Abstract

462,057. Pinch cocks. EVANS, D. J. Sept. 19, 1935, No. 25999. [Class 135] A pinch cock comprises a rubber tube c passing through a casing a and nipples b<1> at opposite sides of the casing. The tube rests on the bottom of the casing and is adapted to be flattened by a cam g acting on a compressor plate d to close the passage through it. The cam g has two diametrically opposite lobes and is continuously rotatable by the spindle f so that two closed and two opened positions are obtained by one revolution of the spindle. The cock may be used in conjunction with a rotary electric switch also actuated by the spindle f in electrolytic apparatus of the kind described in Specification 407,700, [Group XXXVI].
