Abstract

151,526. Lewis, J. C. Feb. 9, 1920. Detachable-rim attachments to wheels.-The tyre-carrying rim 12 is secured between an off-set flange on the permanent rim 11 and a split ring 16 seated in a groove 15 of the rim 11. The ring 16 has lugs 17, 18 which project through a notch 19 in the rim 11, and is contracted by means of a lever 22. The latter has one end adapted to engage the lugs 18, and is pivoted at 23 through links 18', 19<1> to an adjustable screw 20 threaded in the lug 17. In the closed position, the other end of the lever 22 is seated in the recessed head of a bolt 29 adjustable in a lug 30 on the permanent rim.
