Detachable-rim attachments to wheels. - The lever D for manipulating the split ring B by which a detachable rim is secured on the permanent rim A is locked by a spring catch G riveted to the end of the lever and adapted to engage the edge of the rim A as shown. As an alternative, or additional, locking-means, the portion d<1> of the lever that lies beyond the pivot d and engages the lug b<1> of the ring B may be arranged inside the general curve of the lever. Instead of forming the rim A with an open notch to receive the lug b<1> as described in the parent Specification the rim may be enlarged at this place, to provide for a closed-slot housing for the lug.
