Abstract

577,095. Vehicle wheels. HOWARTH, R. July 28, 1944, No. 14411. [Classes 144 (i) and 144 (ii)] To facilitate interchange, various types of hub and rim parts of tractor wheels are formed with standard interengaging portions. As shown, a flange 1 on the rim part and the hubflange 9 are formed with mating shouldered portions having registering bolt holes 11, 10. The rim 6 is shown of the divisible type; and, the attachment flange 1 is off-set from the centre-line of the tread so that the tracking- width may be varied by reversal on the hubflange. Ordinary metal tyres, which may be fitted with strakes, may be similarly attached to the hub-part.
