Tyre attachments to rims.-To facilitate manipulation of the tyre, the rim b is circumferentially divided, adjacent one of the side flanges, for the greater part of the periphery, the partially-severed flange b<1> being transversely-divided opposite its permanent junction with the rim base. In the construction shown, the separable portions of the rim are lap-jointed at and a lap-piece c is fitted between the ends of the flange b<1>, the piece c being carried by a grooved nut f on a transverse bolt e.
