Abstract

161,420. Menegotti, A., and Mancini, G. March 8, 1920. Tyre attachments to rims.-The rim is divided at b, so that the detachable part A has a portion which fits over the felloe a. Secured to the parts A, B of the rim are lugs c, c<1>, the former having a projection D which fits a recess in the felloe a. The part A is held in position by nuts f screwed on to bolts e and provided with cylindrical necks to pass through holes in the flange c and fit into recesses in the felloe. An ordinary rim may be converted by dividing the rim at or about the point b and securing flanges such as c, c<1> to one or both portions of the rim by riveting, welding, &c.
