Detachable-rim attachments to wheels. - The felloe band 13 is provided at its inner edge with a continuous flange 14 bevelled on its outer side, and on its periphery with spaced blocks 15 having bevelled oblique sides 16, and the rim 17 has near its inner edge a discontinuous rib 18 and blocks 20 corresponding to the blocks 15 with which they are caused to engage by lateral and circumferential movement. In the construction described, the blocks are triangular in shape, those on the felloe being disposed with their bases flush with the outer side of the wheel, and those on the rim being oppositely disposed. The spaces 19 between the sections of the rib 18 are wide enough to admit the passage of the blocks 15. In mounting the rim, the rib 18 bears on the flange 14 and acts as a stop. The rim is locked in position by a spring-pressed rack block 21 mounted radially in the felloe and engaging a rack 25 on the inner surface of the rim.
