Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores; tyre attachments to rims.- A tyre comprises a main part A with supporting flanges B on its inner face shaped so as to provide a trough e of rectangular crosssection. The flanges B fit dovetailed metal rims 13 held apart by distance - pieces 16. After the parts are assembled the whole is driven on to a band 12 which is carried on a wooden felloe 11 fitting in a flanged rim g. In modifications, the tyre is mounted on a stamped metal double wheel, the band 12 being carried on two wooden felloes, each fitted in a rim. The rims may be replaced by a wooden crown secured by screws to the wheel discs. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 191,545.
