Spring wheels; disc wheels.-A wheel comprises a disc 2 formed with a peripheral flange 3, spokes 5, the inner ends of which are received in a nave plate 6 secured to the disc 2, the outer ends of the spokes being secured to the flange 3, and a series of blade springs 10 fitted on the flange 3 to support a tyre-carrying rim 9. The back of the wheel centre may be covered by a plate, and instead of a continuous flange 3 the disc may have a number of platforms each supported by one of the spokes to provide a seating for the springs. The construction may be applied to twin wheels.
