Metallic spring bodies and cores. - A tyre comprises segmental plate springs with slotted overlapping ends to receive radial bolts which are passed through the rim and through other springs bearing against the inner periphery of the rim. In the form shown in Fig. 1, spring segments 16 have each one end bearing on the rim 8 the other end bearing on the adjacent spring. Springs 13, having slotted ends embracing the spokes 10, are fitted over the attachment bolts 11, the desired compression being set up by means of the nuts 14. In modifications, more than one series of springs 16 may be used. In the modification shown in Fig. 5, springs 19, 20 are interposed between the segments 16 and the wheel rim.
