Abstract

237,849. Peterson, F. E. May 11, 1925. Spring wheels.-A wheel comprises a hub 1 connected to a rim 2 by spring spokes 3. As shown in Fig. 1, each spoke 3 comprises a doubleloop 4 which forms an inwardly extending portion 5 lying between radial portions 6 of adjacent spokes 3, the portion 5 being adapted to rest against the radial portions 6 under slight road shocks, the curved portion 5 bending under greater shock to support the radial portion 6. The outer spoke ends are curved and secured to the rims by brackets 7 and, as shown in Fig. 3, blocks 10 bolted to the hub discs hold in place the inner L-shaped spoke-ends 8.
