Disc wheels.-A wheel is formed of wood or metal discs a, b, or of a single disc a, the rim portions c, d of the discs being bowed out, as shown, to a form resembling the exterior of a pneumatic tyre. The circumferential parts of the portions c, d telescope and provide a shallow recess for a solid rubber tyre e. Fig. 3 shows a wire-spoked wheel in which the portions c, d are carried by spokes j. Specifications 14448/85, 16850/96 and 15511/98 are referred to.
