Tyre atttachments to rims.-The detachable side-flange 5<x >has lugs 15 adapted to engage (in bayonet-joint fashion) behind similar lugs 14 on a ring 10 secured to the felloe 6 (or to the fixed rim portion of a wire wheel). The ring 10 is recessed at 11 to form a housing-channel for the lugs 15, and the parts are locked by a separate ring 17 having stop lugs 18 to engage between the lugs 15. In a modification (not shown), the lugs 18 may be formed by angle-plates separately secured to the ring 17. The latter may be fitted with studls to receive an operating-lever 21, Fig. 7.
