Tyre attachments to rims. - Elastic tyres 1 are fitted in deep channels formed by coned rings 2, 3 mounted on a split rim-bed 4, spacing- rings 5, 6 being fitted as shown. The tyres, which may be of single or twin form, are of greater peripberal length than the rim (as shown in Fig. 1) so as to form a slack portion 1<1> in front of the actual tread, or to pass around a driving-wheel 12.
