491,556. Vehicle wheels. FIRESTONE TYRE & RUBBER CO., Ltd., and WHITMARSH, I. E. Aug. 7, 1937, No. 21784. [Class 144 (i)] Means for supporting adjustable strakes such as 40 at the side of a pneumatic-tyred tractor &c. wheel 10 comprise spaced bosses 14 on, but not projecting laterally or radially beyond, the rim and a series of distance-piece 26 for spacing a strake-carrying ring &c. 18 which is secured by transverse bolts 22. The distance-pieces may be prevented from rotation on the bolts by engagement with cam surfaces 30 on the lugs 14.
